Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 20 April 2026

These Terms & Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) govern the relationship between STREAMLINE ROCHDALE LTD (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”) and you (hereinafter “you”, “your”) when you book or use our private hire taxi services (hereinafter “Services”). By booking or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations (including those set by Rochdale Council for private hire operators).

2.1 Our Services

We provide pre-booked private hire taxi services in Rochdale and surrounding areas (including Oldham, Bury, Heywood) and airport transfers to Manchester, Liverpool, and Heathrow airports. Key details of our Services include:

  • All Services are pre-booked only; we do not offer street-hailing services (in compliance with UK private hire regulations).
  • Our drivers are fully licensed by Rochdale Council, have undergone background checks, and have extensive local knowledge.
  • Our vehicles are fully licensed, insured (Hire & Reward Insurance), and regularly maintained to ensure safety and comfort.
  • All fares are fixed at the time of booking, with no hidden fees or surge pricing. Fares are displayed during the booking process and confirmed in your booking confirmation email.

2.2 Booking Requirements

To book our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Provide accurate and complete information (e.g., contact details, pick-up/drop-off locations, travel date/time) during the booking process.
  • Make payment via our secure Stripe payment system (or other approved payment methods) at the time of booking, or as agreed with us.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if: (a) the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete; (b) we suspect fraudulent activity; (c) the booking is for an illegal or unsafe purpose; or (d) we are unable to provide the Service due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., driver illness, vehicle breakdown).

2.3 Your Obligations

When using our Services, you agree to:

  • Be ready at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled time. If you are late, we may charge a waiting fee (as outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy) or cancel the booking if you are more than 15 minutes late without notifying us.
  • Treat our drivers and vehicles with respect. You will be liable for any damage to the vehicle or its contents caused by you or your passengers (e.g., stains, broken items). We reserve the right to charge a damage fee to cover repair costs.
  • Not carry more passengers than the vehicle’s licensed capacity. If you exceed the capacity, the driver may refuse to proceed with the journey, and no refund will be provided.
  • Not carry illegal substances, dangerous goods, or any items that may pose a risk to the driver or vehicle.
  • Comply with all UK traffic laws and regulations during the journey.

2.4 Driver Obligations

Our drivers agree to:

  • Arrive at the pick-up location on time (or within 5 minutes of the scheduled time, unless delayed by traffic or unforeseen circumstances).
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and professional service.
  • Follow the most efficient route to the drop-off location, unless instructed otherwise by you (additional fees may apply for detours).
  • Respect your privacy and not share your personal data with third parties (except as required by law or our Privacy Policy).

2.5 Payment Terms

All payments for our Services are processed securely via Stripe, in compliance with PCI DSS. Key payment terms include:

  • Fares are fixed at the time of booking and are non-negotiable.
  • You must pay the full fare at the time of booking, unless we agree to a different payment arrangement (e.g., corporate accounts).
  • Stripe may charge a small processing fee for payments, which will be clearly displayed during the booking process.
  • We do not store your credit/debit card details; all payment data is securely processed and stored by Stripe (see Stripe’s terms of service for more details).
  • If a payment is declined, we will notify you immediately, and your booking will not be confirmed until payment is successfully processed.

2.6 Service Modifications and Cancellations

We may modify or cancel a booking if: (a) there is a safety risk (e.g., severe weather, road closures); (b) the driver is unable to attend due to illness or emergency; (c) the vehicle breaks down and no replacement is available. In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund or reschedule the booking at no extra cost.

Your right to cancel a booking and receive a refund is outlined in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2.7 Liability

  • We are liable for any loss or damage caused by our negligence (e.g., driver error leading to an accident). However, we are not liable for: (a) losses caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic jams, flight delays, road closures); (b) losses caused by your own negligence (e.g., missing the pick-up time); (c) personal belongings left in the vehicle (we recommend you take all personal items with you when leaving the vehicle).
  • Our liability for any claim arising from the use of our Services is limited to the total fare paid for the booking.
  • We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (e.g., missed meetings, missed flights) unless such losses are caused by our gross negligence.

2.8 Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights (e.g., logos, website content, brand names) associated with our Services are owned by STREAMLINE ROCHDALE LTD. You may not use, copy, or reproduce any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.

2.9 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to comply with changes in law or regulations, or to improve our Services. We will notify you of any changes via our website or email (if you have provided your contact details). Your continued use of our Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2.10 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our Services will be resolved through mediation or, if necessary, through the courts of England and Wales.
